I am a serious travel addict with countless travel dreams. In About Sunkissed Escape Travel Blog, you will discover my deep love for this beautiful world, its diverse cultures, and the magic of nature. Ever since I can remember, I have been fascinated by exploring new places and experiencing the wonders our planet offers. My dream has always been simple yet powerful, to travel the world in a responsible and sustainable way while inspiring others to follow their curiosity and passion for exploration.
It all started when, as a child, I went on trips with my family around Sri Lanka. In those days also, my heart knew that it yearned to see what lay beyond our shores. But life wasn’t a bed of roses for me. I didn’t grow up with financial freedom, and international travel felt like a distant dream. Like in many Sri Lankan families, my parents believed that stability came with a job in the government. And so, I tried applying to almost 158 governmental positions, sat for numerous exams, and waited for years to see results that never materialized.
In my most trying years, I remained hopeful, patient, and confident that I could craft my own destiny. Eight years without a job taught me how to persevere and find my strength. Amidst the Covid pandemic and economic disaster in Sri Lanka, I found myself in a situation, but I also grew in my personal strengths.
With courage, I stepped into the world of web designing, something that once felt far beyond my reach. Today, I’m working as a web designer at an international company, and I’m truly grateful to my friend who helped me find this opportunity.
I gradually gained self-confidence by studying and earning a living from it. This process reignited my lifelong passion, which is to travel the world. My travels started in Sri Lanka, where I explored every nook and cranny of the country, from its misty mountains to waterfalls, golden beaches, verdant forests, and ancient cities. Very soon thereafter, I embarked on my first overseas trip, a short adventure to Singapore, setting foot on my worldwide travels.
Through My Sunkissed Escape Travel blog, I currently document all-natural travel stories, destination guides, ethical tourism practices, and memorable adventures. It is the tale of perseverance and dreams coming true, slowly making my life a reality.
